Abstract
Periodic surfaces behave as frequency selective surfaces (FSS), and many parameters affect their performance. One of the parameters that is known to strongly influence the behaviour of FSS is the angle of the incident field. However, in previous work, the extent to which this parameter can influence the resonance characteristics has not been fully investigated. It is shown that changing the angle of incidence by only 1 degree can make a big difference. The authors follow the method presented by Montgomery (1975), which is briefly described.
