Title :
Scattering by a two dimensional periodic array of conducting rings on a chiral slab
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The use of resonant rings in forming frequency selective surfaces (FSS) is well known. The results obtained in a theoretical investigation of the scattering by a novel FSS consisting of an infinite array of conducting rings arranged in a doubly periodic grid but backed by a chiral slab is presented. The boundary value problem is formulated by relating the fields scattered from the frequency selective surface to the surface currents induced on the rings for an arbitrarily polarized plane wave incident from any oblique-angle.
