Abstract
We apply to second-order oscillators, whose equation is given in perturbation form, a method of steady-state nonlinear analysis recently discussed in the literature. We derive very simple relationships allowing us to predict the existence and the uniqueness of a stable oscillation and, if any, to calculate it completely. The usefulness in analysis and design problems is shown through the application to the oscillators realized with operational transconductance amplifiers and capacitors (OTA-C)
