Abstract :
In this paper, a modified algorithm of the deadbeat control (DBC) strategy is applied to control an active filter that eliminates undesirable harmonics and provides unity power-factor for a thyristor controlled rectifier load. The DBC strategy gives three control voltages, that are synthesized by applying space vector PWM (SVPWM) and equal area vector PWM (EAVPWM) methods. Simulation results show that the filtering goals are achieved and in the second synthesizing procedure, limitation on switching frequency is decreased
