Abstract :
This study involves the application of the Windowed Discrete Fourier Transform in order to obtain the harmonic content of the current and voltage between the terminals of 543 artificially generated electric arcs. This harmonic content can be used to identify the moment at which the arc is stabilized in the air. Using these data, the length variation results of 69 selected artificially generated arcs, obtained through the analysis of both visual records generated with two cameras and the first pseudo-harmonic voltage between the arcs terminals, are presented.
