Abstract
The concept of ¿average passivity¿ is introduced making use of the differential difference representation (DDR) of nonlinear discrete-time dynamics. It gives a first insight towards the introduction of a passivity notion which is equivalent to to the continuous-time criterium when applied under sampling.
