Abstract :
We report electrically-driven single-cell photonic crystal laser operating in the hexapole mode at 1537.8 nm. Electrical current is supplied through a sub-micrometer-size current post beneath the cavity center. The laser operates in a single mode with threshold current of ~100 muA at room temperature.
