Abstract
This paper analyzed the nonlinear factors, saturation of voltage and current, dead zone due to static friction of a brushless DC motor for an airborne electro hydrostatic actuation (EHA) system. It also designed a fuzzy logic self-tuning PID controller with load pressure positive feedback compensator. The control scheme of BLDCM can achieve fast response, high accuracy, robustness and none overshoot synchronously. The scheme has been applied to an airborne electric hydrostatic actuator prototype successfully
