Abstract
In this paper we discussed a hybrid parallel and distributed model and their relationships of diversity phenomenon. We study the synchronous and asynchronous version of the island-model in GEP algorithm. The experiments that we have performed have allowed us to find an interesting link between the subpopulations and the parameters setting to GEP.
