Abstract
This paper will present a reusable, flexible and adaptable `game-based´ approach to dialogical and conceptual learning. These synchronous dialogue games for learning are realized through a `state of the art´ socio-cognitive tool called InterLoc that scaffolds the development and use of dialogical and reasoning skills in students. The dialogue game and InterLoc approach will be described before discussing how key findings from recent pilot studies suggest multimodal enhancements that will improve the `attractiveness´, degree of fit with learners digital behaviour and general power of the approach
