Abstract :
In this paper, we introduce an adaptive state of charge (SOC) estimator for batteries. The adaptive strategy consists of online parameters estimation. A Lyapunov-based stability analysis is presented for the proposed estimation technique. Unlike other estimation strategies, only battery terminal voltage and current measurements are required. A computer simulation highlights the performance of the proposed estimator in determining the SOC with high accuracy.
