Abstract :
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) has become a popular technique for security purposes with increasing accessibility of information and data, especially in large-scale enterprise environments. However the traditional RBAC models cannot well support rapid and efficient privilege/user assignment. In this paper, we propose Hierarchical-User RBAC (HURBAC) model which we improve the traditional RBAC Models by making users hierarchical to simplify the user-role assignment. Also the formal definition of the HURBAC model is presented in the paper.
