Abstract :
A stator field orientation vector method of doubly fed machine is introduced in this paper, which has the advantages of simple and easy to be implemented. Adopting the proposed vector control method, the excitation flux and electromagnetic torque of the doubly fed machine can be decoupled and controlled individually. The machine torque can be easily controlled by the q-axis component of the rotor current i/sub q2/. The simulation results show that the dynamic performance of the doubly fed machine can be improved by using the proposed control approach.
