Abstract :
The synthesis of M-D filtering by using causal real coefficient MD all-pass blocks is formulated. The new architecture features excellent fixed-point behavior. A novel word parallel architecture for the design of 2-D digital filters is presented. The presented architecture is used for the design of 2-D digital all-pass filters for the purpose of general filtering. This architecture may easily be expanded for the realization of M-D filters
