Abstract :
Novel on-chip waveguide turnings and crossings based on metal-free elliptical reflectors are simulated and demonstrated, 1μm-wide waveguide case gives half the loss in elliptical reflector turn (16% loss) compared to plane mirror turn (30% loss).
