Abstract
An "old" hardware measurement approach using waveguide simulators has been united with up-to-date computer modeling techniques to provide active element characterization in the environment of large antenna arrays. Predictions are made for a triangular array of open-ended waveguides. The approach is fast, inexpensive, and easily handles complex, 3-dimensional elements.
