Abstract
In this work, it is shown the response of single layer metallic hole arrays and metallic disks arrangements and its complementary behavior is remarked. Then an EBG constructed by periodically stacking the two aforementioned structures is presented. It is shown that the result of stacking metallic elements result in interesting transmission and reflection features. This results could allow interesting applications in frequency selective surfaces and other quasioptical structures
