Abstract
This paper presents an overview on the technique developed for the numerical modeling of thin multilayered panels of composite material in full FDTD and hybrid MFIE/FDTD approaches. Numerical results and validation by comparison with measured data are presented. The method is applied to the calculation of the field distribution on metallic-composite aircraft originated by the direct lightning stroke.
