  • Abstract
When an ultra-short laser pulse with intensity of 2-3 times1018 W/cm , is focused on a 13 mum Mylar target, a proton beam with a maximum energy of 1.1 MeV is generated. This maximum energy is about 3 times higher than those obtained from aluminum targets and theoretical estimations.
