Abstract :
The static output feedback admissibility problem of descriptor systems is investigated in this paper. Sufficient conditions are derived for admissibility of closed-loop systems. The conditions are characterized by linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which are tractable and reliable in numerical computations. Once the derived LMIs are feasible, the static output feedback controller can be easily synthesized. Another interesting attraction of our approach is that the developed results can be directly applied to solve the robust static output feedback admissibility problem for uncertain descriptor systems. Both continuous-time cases and discrete-time cases are studied in this paper.
