Abstract :
In order to improve the convenience and reduce the cost, the design of video transmission system using inexpensive chips and USB camera is introduced. The camera of the system is ZC301 USB camera, widely used in home networking. The video data of camera is directly read and processed by DSP chips of TMS320VC5402 with USB controller, without camera drivers based on operation system. Then the data is transmitted into the Ethernet, so that the real-time network monitoring could work. Practice has proved that this system has good scalability, reliability and extensive application value, and its quality of image can meet the command of video monitor.
