Abstract :
This paper proposes array antenna schemes and combining schemes for polarization diversity to reduce the fluctuating range of fading signals in a microcellular environment. To analyze the propagation characteristics of proposed schemes, the spatial correlation coefficient of the received signal, fading signal distribution, level crossing rate and the average fade duration are investigated. The simulations of the propagation in a microcell are carried out by using a ray tracing program. The results of comparison between simulated and measured data are shown to verify the accuracy of the simulated results
