Abstract
This paper is a view of motor vibration from the motor perspective covering horizontal IEEE 841 motors. It defines the two major causes of vibration related to design and construction in motors and offers suggestions for improving motor vibration. The section on costs considers the cost of motor vibration in terms of bearing life.
