Abstract
Several EMC emission and immunity compliance standards specify a reference technique and acceptable alternative techniques. Generally, a correlation of failures from an alternative technique to the reference technique is required. This work investigates the frequency-by-frequency correlation of typical absorber lined and reverberation chamber compliance tests. The investigation is based on extensive absorber lined and reverberation chamber databases for coupling to instrumented test articles. The results suggest the potential uncertainty in a frequency-by-frequency correlation of absorber lined and reverberation chamber tests.
