Abstract :
We propose a wavelength monitoring system to control a LED central wavelength using a 2×2 single-mode fiber optic coupler. The coupler wavelength sensitivity was characterized in different temperature sets. The coupler split ratio is both wavelength and temperature dependent, and a significative variation of the wavelength to split ratio was observed in different temperature stances. The coupler is an easy-to-interface device as a suitable wavelength monitor to control the LED/laser wavelength stability, in an integrated all-fiber configuration.
