Abstract
Describes a simulation software package which is under development. It has been successfully used to investigate the minimisation of the switch-on transient and the simulation of the identification of temperature sensors. A deeper understanding of the application of phase shift keyed modulated binary signals, which use Strathclyde compact and ultracompact multifrequency binary sequences (MBS), to an identification channel was obtained using eye patterns. The techniques described are being extended to investigate the application of frequency and amplitude shift keyed MBS test signals to an identification channel
