The purpose of this paper is to present a detailed analysis of a DC servo system which is representative of the type used in an instructional laboratory or in industry. The analysis is used to provide intuitive insight into how high feedback gain is used to `mask´ some of the nonlinearities and to get a quantitative analysis on what that high gain is
