  • Abstract
    This paper describes a homemade CAD package developed to design and analyze rectangular probe-fed microstrip antennas conformed on cylindrical structures. This CAD (named Cylindrical) provides a friendly environment, making the design and analysis of these antennas easy. The theory used to develop the software is described first. Then, a right-handed circularly polarized antenna to operate at 2.25 GHz is designed. The main characteristics of this element, such as input impedance, axial ratio and radiation patterns are presented. The theoretical results show good agreement when compared with experimental data.
