Abstract :
Some theoretical and experimental models have been considered for the prediction of the path loss in mobile communications systems. However, one knows that in the real environment, the received signal is subject to variations. The model of Bertoni-Walfisch (IEEE Trans. On Antennas and Propagation, vol.88(36), p.1788-1796) foresees the effect of buildings in the transmitted signal, characterizes the urban area as being that presented by a great number of buildings with heights almost uniform, and that they are arranged in lines. A new extension of this model is made in this work, which consists of simulating some of its parameters as bidimensional random variables. Results of simulation are presented, considering the bidimensional analysis for different cases.
