Abstract
This paper is aimed at solving the location problem in the process of unmanned helicopter´s landing and takeoff on board, in view of the complexity and difficulty at this stage. Based on the UWB wireless ranging technology, the network model has been proposed to estimate the position of targets, then make use of the unmanned helicopter platform and related equipment to carry out the experiment. Using the least squares to calculate the distance equation set, finally estimate the helicopter´s relative coordinate and compare it with the GPS data. Results show that the model is effective and location accuracy is considerable in close distance under the existing research, the system is feasible. So this can break through the GPS technique using constraints. Furthermore, provide guide information for landing on ship in the next stage.
