Abstract :
Summary form only given. Some of the recent and exciting findings in the area of organic optoelectronics are the development of: (a) nano-thick, low voltage light-emitting devices that promise to introduce novel flat panel displays, and (b) low cost efficient organic solar cells. Printing methods lend themselves to high throughput roll-to-roll production of such devices. Techniques such as screen-printing and ink-jet printing have, recently, proven successful in the fabrication of organic light emitting devices and organic based solar cells. We will discuss the use of these techniques in printing ultra-thin organic layers with extremely smooth surfaces, as well as mask-less patterning and modification of electrode conductivity
