Abstract
In this paper we study the effects of two types of optical filters in three scenarios of wavelength interleaved radio-over-fiber systems. For each scenario, the system performance dependence on the filters shape and bandwidth are studied and compared. A new approach for improving performance based on High Birefringence Fiber Bragg gratings is presented and some results are obtained.
