Abstract
We propose a pulse order time-hopping multiple-access ultra wideband (PO-THMA UWB) system using modified Hermite polynomial (MHP) pulses. The MHP pulses have the orthogonal property between different ordered pulses, and that property makes the THMA UWB system have increased transmission capacity. We derived the bit error rate (BER) of the proposed system theoretically, and also show that the BER performance and capacity are improved dramatically compared with the THMA system only.
