Abstract :
In this paper, a method for the joint decoding of a MIMO system using apriori information in conjunction with the Zero-Forcing decoder is presented. The proposed method is compared with an existing method based on receive vector translation. It is shown that both methods perform similarly in the case of the Zero-Forcing decoder. Furthermore, the proposed method can be used with an arbitrary signal constellation, unlike the method based on receive vector translation which is shown to be limited to binary valued constellations. The proposed method also has a reduced computational requirement.
