Abstract
This paper provides the method of generating ultra wideband (UWB) pulses. The proposed UWB pulse generator is capable of all-digitally alternating the bandwidth, center frequency, and envelope of the pulse, which makes it easy to implement channelization for UWB network systems. In addition, our UWB pulse generator contributes to the transmitter´s low power since it eliminates the need for a filter and phase locked loop (PLL), which is attractive for IEEE 802.15.4a UWB systems.
