  • Abstract
Variable air volume (VAV) air conditioning control system is widely used in recent years because of its energy saving property. The application of LonWorks intelligent control network in VAV system is a new technology worthy to be concerned. In this paper, a practical project is introduced to well explain the development method of VAV system with LonWorks network. The control strategy of VAV system and the work principle of VAV terminal unit are analyzed. Then how to design a LonWorks network based on practical project platform is introduced. And how to program the intelligent control network using a project software tool is described. The integration method of the intelligent control network based on a common central integration platform is also described. And some running interfaces and results are given to show the development effect after the project is well finished. Some energy calculation is given to explain the energy saving effect. Finally, several problems worthy to be discussed existed in the system are proposed.
