Abstract :
Wavelet transform (WT) was applied to de-noise Raman spectra. A simulated noisy Raman spectrum and the experimental Raman spectrum of benzene were de-noised using the level thresholding method and the interval thresholding method. The de-noising performances of the two methods were compared. The results showed that the interval thresholding method is more satisfactory than the level thresholding method, because it can remove the noise more efficiently and preserve the shapes of Raman bands better.
