Abstract :
To evaluate and compare the performance improvement due to different frequency plans adopted in a cellular radio network, a new concept, the radio network traffic carrying capability gain is proposed in this paper, which can overcome the insufficiencies of the traditional analytic theory of the cellular radio network. And a new traffic carrying capability evaluating and comparing algorithm for GSM radio network, the radio traffic carrying capability evaluating and comparing algorithm based on measurement statistics is proposed to calculate the traffic carrying capability gain. The performance changes due to different frequency plans used in a radio network can be got in time through collecting the corresponding measurement data of the radio network in different phases and processing them use the algorithm proposed in this paper.
