  • Abstract
In this paper an attempt is made to understand the voltage stability related static and dynamic bifurcations. A structure preserving power system model is used. The problem is analyzed in the frame work of bifurcation theory. The observed power system phenomenon where splitting of eigenvalues take place is identified
