Abstract :
A novel dual-frequency circularly polarized microstrip antenna is designed in this paper. The antenna has a structure of two microstrip board layers, and employs two circular patches which have different radius can achieve the resonance of dual-frequency, which opens a slot in the upper radiation patch in order to reduce the patch size. The antenna can work at GPS L1 band (1.575GHz) and Beidous band (2.492GHz). Applying ANSOFT HFSS software, the simulation shows that this antenna can meet the demands of the signals of satellite navigation system. Compared with the conventional dual-frequency circularly polarized microstrip antenna, the size of the antenna is reduced and the structure is compact and easy to be fabricated and has a good application prospect.
