Abstract :
The application of Differential Evolution algorithm with Global and Local neighborhoods (DEGL) in the shaping of the reflector antenna is presented. A single offset circular reflector antenna with a single feed is shaped in order to produce a contoured beam that covers the China territory in Ku band. Physical optics (PO) and Physical Theory of Diffraction (PTD) are employed to accurately analysis the antenna. The optimization results, which prove that DEGL is efficient and powerful, are validated by the commercial software GRASP9.3.01.
