This paper is an approach to a new operational mode - the weather avoidance (WX AVOID) mode. The paper presents conceptual ideals concerning the acquisition of vertical information on weather (WX) targets, the manner of azimuth scanning while scanning vertically, weather data filtering and an indication scheme for quasi-three-dimension weather information
