Abstract :
From some difficulties confronted with edge delivery technologies today, a novel grid delivery solution, rich media grid delivery technology, is introduced in this paper. We study in detail the main key technologies in this field, including time shifting technique, adaptive rate multiserving technique, outer edge caching technique, and grid delivery security, etc. From our research experiences and related surveys, we analyze the main challenges in current theory research and application development of this field, and related experimental result. At last, this thesis illustrates the prospective research direction of rich media grid delivery.
