  • Abstract
Summary from only given. We demonstrate that one can notably alter the laser induced optical breakdown (LIOB) threshold of a material by incorporating metal nanoparticles, which significantly enhance the electric field localized at their immediate surroundings. We used dendrimer nanocomposites, a novel class of nanomaterials, as a model system.
