Abstract :
This paper presents a uniform path-loss prediction model with the ratio of the total effective area of the cabin to the corresponding mean cross sections by power balance theory (PBT). Furthermore, its applications on the tunnel path-loss predictions are deduced and discussed under the line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) circumstances theoretically. Finally, the path-loss numerical simulations and the exponent estimation are studied and compared on a mine tunnel and a high-speed railway tunnel according to the ideal anechoic and reverberation chamber with the interest frequencies of WLAN 802/b/g/a and GSM900/TD-SCDMA services, respectively.
