Abstract
The paper addresses the area of multimedia data mining, in which non relational architectures certainly predominate and in which there are many attributes-for example, various image features-which are not directly visible to the user. Just what is multimedia data mining? The answer isn´t obvious due to the nature of the data being managed. We identify and categorize the many faces of multimedia data mining. We also discuss a representation scheme for multimedia objects, which lends itself to multimedia data mining
