Abstract
The paper mainly deals with a novel TOA based location estimation algorithm using cellular geometric analysis and grey relational analysis. Cellular geometric analysis is employed to get an expression of estimated mobile station (MS) location using the locations of the three measured base stations (BSs). And it leaves the grey relational coefficients to be calculated in the following analysis. Then, grey relational analysis is used to process the original measured distances, which are sampled at the MS. Finally, the grey relational degrees between any two BSs are calculated, and the grey relational coefficients are obtained. Therefore, the estimated location of MS can be achieved by using the estimated location expression in CGA and the grey relational coefficients obtained in GRA. It is shown through simulation that the proposed algorithm can precisely estimate the location of MS with a relatively small input sample size. The estimation errors are given in the simulation results.
