Abstract
Analysis of GSM system statistical data shows that number of connection drops caused by the mobile stations (MS) is eightfold greater than the corresponding number of drops on the part of the base station (BS). Thus MS presents the most vulnerable unit in GSM cellular structure. The purposes of this paper are to reveal the causes of such disconnections and to form solutions for improvement of quality of service (QoS) for GSM subscribers.
