Abstract :
Summary from only given. We demonstrate the principle, and report on generation of 80 mW of 265 nm UV light by using a tandem second harmonic generation in periodically poled KTiOPO/sub 4/ and bulk BaB/sub 2/O/sub 4/ (BBO). Compared to other materials for UV generation, BBO offers high-optical damage resistance and relatively higher second order nonlinearity. A single-mode ytterbium-doped fiber amplifier pumping source was employed.
