Abstract :
This paper describes a method of reengineering based on information technology engineering and object-oriented software engineering. Focused on the reusability issue, these two communities propose different technical solutions. The first, using XML technologies, describes the content in a structured formalism and the second recommends the implementation of the object paradigms of abstraction, refinement and encapsulation. By combining them in the heart of a reengineering process, we show that these two approaches are regarded as inseparable and complementary. Orchestrated by the observed uses, several points of view on the behavior of the multimedia system are presented to the designer. The aim of this method is to bring to light the multimedia resources use. This behavior can be characterized by standard metadata and diffused to learning designer practice communities.
